A ten-mile Autway can in one year avoid importing of 104,762 barrels of oil.  Cars can be carried in one year which might otherwise have traveled over 11 million miles, burning either gasoline or diesel fuels.

A ten-mile Autway could be powered with electricity from the grid but still achieve a net reduction in emission of 26,344 metric tons of CO2 in one year.  This is made possible by the high efficiency of Autways.

A ten mile Autway could be built at a capital cost of $82.45 M. and could be operated for one year at a cost of $19.01 M to produce a revenue of $33.11 from user fees, producing a net income of $14.01 M., equal to 17.01% of capital costs.

A ten mile elevated guideway could ususally be built on existing rights-of-way, requiring no more than approval of transportation agencies and requiring little or no expenditure of money.  If sponsored or operated by a public or quaisi-public agency such as a tollway authority or a public-private partnership, the profitability of an Autway could produce a net finanical benefit to taxpayers.

Building of the ten mile Autway would create many good-paying jobs.  Operating and maintaining the Autways would thereafter create many additional jobs.  The financial figures set forth above are based upon an assumption that the ten mile Autway would result in employing 91 people at an average annual cost of $100,000 per person.
